“The cure of the part should not be attempted without treatment of the whole. No attempt should be made to cure the body without the soul. Let no one persuade you to cure the head until he has first given you his soul to be cured, for this is the great error of our day, that physicians first separate the soul from the body.”
Why am I struggling to reach (or keep) my ideal weight?
Losing weight is not only about eating the right thing in the right amount. It is about finding a balance between body and mind. If you can’t lose weight easily, you’ve probably already tried many types of diets, and you know what’s right for you and what’s not. You probably know which foods are low in calories, low in carbs, high in protein, etc. You know about exercising. You tried the “diet + exercise” strategy already in all possible forms and combinations, and it didn’t work. Or it worked for a while, but it became too hard to sustain, and you simply relapsed back to old habits, feeling terrible about yourself as a result. This didn’t happen because you failed; it happened because you weren’t taught how your body works.
“Each system, cell, and atom of the body is in constant communication with each other.”
Everything in your body is in constant communication, and this communication can happen through different channels, some physical (such as the nervous system, circulatory system, endocrine system) and others are energetic (such as the acupuncture meridians of Traditional Chinese Medicine, among others). The interesting thing is that everything physically depends on the proper functioning of the energy system since it distributes the energy necessary for all the rest to fulfill its function. Like the electricity that gives power to our appliances, if that fails, nothing will work.
When you’re exposed to stress factors (emotional or environmental) on a continual basis, some of these energy-based communications can be disrupted, and you start to feel unbalanced, pain, stressed. The stress, anxiety, and pain accumulate and make communication in the body worse, which generates more stress and pain. Before you know it, you’re going down a rabbit hole.
Your weight is tightly linked to the stressors in your life. When the body is in balance, so is your lifestyle and weight. So, to reach your natural weight, you need to address the communication problems in your body that keep you in the loop of stress and pain, being it physical or emotional.
What is BodyTalk System®?
BodyTalk is a state-of-the-art approach to integrative mind/body medicine by combining Western medicine's scientifically supported research in fields such as neuroscience, epigenetics, and psychoneuroimmunology along with a large number of highly recognized ancient and modern healing methods and principles of knowledge, such as Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, Chiropractic, consciousness studies, and Energy Psychology.
It is a simple and effective form of energy medicine to restore your body’s natural ability to heal and balance itself.
BodyTalk System® is all about restoring these communication issues at an energetic level.
The body has an innate ability to heal itself, but when we are continuously exposed to stressors (poor nutrition, environmental factors, genetic factors, psychosocial stressors, belief systems), this ability becomes compromised. This happens because all the attention goes to deal with the problems that we perceive as urgent. Combining modern science with traditional healing methods, BodyTalk System® gently encourages our body to reveal what needs to be addressed, the root cause of our distress, the point where our body's energy flow has been interrupted.
Restoring this flow enables the body’s mechanisms to function at optimal levels, thus preventing disease and rapidly accelerating the healing process, being it emotional or physical. When this happens the body can go back to its natural balance. When we're in balance and feel good, achieving our goals becomes a lot easier.
